Dandelion
2 cups of dandelion blossoms
1 cup of oil of your choice
Gather your blossoms, wash and lay out to dry for 12-24 hours.
They are not going to dry completely but this ensures that all bugs are gone and most of the moisture is gone.
Put your blossoms in a 12 oz jar and cover with oil, then cover with a cloth, cheesecloth or coffee filter.
Place in a pot about half full of water and slowly warm through, this could also be done in a slow cooker but do not boil the water and try to avoid water in your oil/blossom mixture.
This can slow warm anywhere from 12-24 hours. If you choose you can remove from the pot and let sit another week in a warm sunny window or you can use right away. Strain and you can store as is for up to a year.
To make the slave use
4 oz of the dandelion oil
½ ounce of beeswax
You can add 25-30 drops of essential oil if desired
In a double boiler add your beeswax and melt
Once this is melted add your oil and mix thoroughly
Remove from heat and add you essential oils now and mix
Pour your slave into clean containers and allow to cool this should make approximately 6 oz
IF you have used essential oils in this mix it will last about 6 months.
Without essential oils the shelf life will be what would be normal for whatever oil you chose to use as long as it is stored in a cool, dark place.
